Liz,
along with Tom Anderson and Natalie Gamsu, headlined ''THE AMAZING SINGING
VOICES NO. 4'' benefit on Thursday, Nov. 14, at the Supper Club, NYC.
On
November 11, Liz sang two Richard Rodgers songs at the Nippon Club in NYC when
the composer was posthumously awarded with the JAPAN MUSIC AWARD.
Liz
performed at the Donnell Library Center on October 29 in SONGBOOK, a concert
featuring new songs written for the theater.
On
October 14, Liz sang in BROADWAY: THE CONCERT in Konzerthaus Dortmund, Germany
along with fellow theater stars Debbie Gravitte, Sal Viviano, and Brian D’Arcy
James.
Liz
performed with the WESTCHESTER PHILHARMONIC on October 5 in a benefit concert to
celebrate the orchestra’s 20th Anniversary.
On
September 30, a reunion concert of the Original Broadway Cast of MERRILY WE ROLL
ALONG took place in New York City. Liz, who was a member of the ensemble
of the show back in 1981, performed the role of Beth for the concert due to the
original performer’s inability to make it to the event.
Liz’s rendition of “Not A Day Goes By” was a musical highlight of
the very emotional and thrilling evening for all those in attendance.
Ms. Callaway, along with the Highbridge Voices Choir of the Bronx, sang
“Beyond The Dream” on September 23 to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of
MACY’S HERALD SQUARE.

Liz
sang “America The Beautiful” at the US Open Tennis Championships on
September 1.
Ms.
Callaway took part in a workshop of the new musical THE MISTRESS CYCLE from
August 18 – 23 at that Barrington Stage Company in Sheffield, MA.
Stepping
Out Productions hosted Liz at the Stackner Cabaret Theatre in Milwaukee,
Wisconsin on August 16 & 17 as she performed her solo cabaret show.
Liz performed in STEPHEN SCHWARTZ AND FRIENDS, a show with the award-winning Broadway composer, on August 2 in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania as part of the Bethlehem Musikfest at the Zoellner Performing Arts Center.
The
Hilton Garden Inn - Staten Island hosted Ms. Callaway in a cabaret show on July
25.
On
July 14, Liz presented her solo cabaret show at the Bradstan Country Hotel in
White Lake, New York.
Liz
performed at the Tennis Hall of Fame on July 13.
Liz
sang “America the Beautiful” at the close of the NY Stock Exchange on July
3.
Liz and her sister Ann
performed SIBLING REVELRY in Chicago at the Ravinia Festival on June 30 and July
1, 2002.
Liz presented her solo
cabaret show in her hometown of Chicago on June 21 and 22, 2002 at the
Metropolis Performing Arts Centre in Arlington Heights, IL.
Liz performed two
songs on the television program “Richard Rodgers: Falling In Love”, which
aired on June 16 and June 23 on A&E.
Odette’s in New
Hope, Pennsylvania played host to Liz for her solo cabaret show on June 14 and
15.
Ms. Callaway was a
featured performer in BROADWAY BY THE YEAR: 1964 at The Town Hall in New York
City on June 10, 2002.
Liz participated in a
tribute to Cameron Mackintosh on June 3 that benefited the York Theatre in NYC.
Liz and her sister Ann
performed Sibling Revelry in Columbus, Ohio on May 22 for a fundraiser for the
Contemporary American Theatre Company.
Ms.
Callaway traveled to China to perform on May 11 at the Shanghai International
Music Festival, where she delighted the audience by singing a number of musical
theater songs.
On May 4, Liz joined Bernadette Peters, Chita Rivera, Tyne Daly, and Steven Pasquale in performance as a tribute to Arthur Laurents. The event was a benefit the George Street Playhouse in New Brunswick, New Jersey.
In
April, Liz received nominations for both the pretigious DRAMA LEAGUE AWARD and
the DRAMA DESK AWARD for her outstanding performance as Shelby in the
Off-Broadway musical THE SPITFIRE GRILL.
The Original
Off-Broadway Cast Recording of THE SPITFIRE GRILL was released in April and Liz
received many glowing reviews for her performance on the CD
Liz and her sister Ann brought their award-winning cabaret show SIBLING REVELRY to the Queens Theatre in the Park in New York City on March 23 and 24, 2002!
The television program NEW YORK IN SONG aired on CUNY-TV several times in March featuring Liz performing “Another Hundred People”.

On Feb. 11, 2002, Liz performed
three songs at the NEW YORKER FOR NEW YORK AWARDS DINNER at the Waldorf-Astoria
in NYC. Composer Mary Rodgers was honored and Liz sang songs from all three
generations of this musical family: "Wonderful Guy" by Richard Rodgers
from South Pacific, "Something Known" by Mary Rodgers from Hey, Love,
and "How Can I Lose You" from Adam Guettel's Myths and Hymns.
Ms. Callaway presented her solo cabaret show at the Ridgefield Playhouse in Connecticut on February 8, 2002.
Liz performed in several events in California in the early part of February in association with Stephen Schwartz. She joined the composer and Scott Coulter in a concert entitled STEPHEN SCHWARTZ AND FRIENDS on Feb. 1 at Ohlone College in Fremont, CA and on Feb. 2 at San Benito High School Auditorium in San Benito, CA. Then, on Feb. 4, Liz sang "Meadowlark" at the Pasadena Playhouse in EXTRAORDINARY: A Tribute To Stephen Schwartz.
The Emelin Theatre in Mamaroneck, NY hosted a two-act solo concert by Liz on January 12, 2002.Congratulations to Liz for receiving a 2002 MAC Award Nomination for Female Artist Recording of the Year for her latest CD, THE BEAT GOES ON.
In April, Liz participated in a reading of BETTER WITH A BAND, a revue of songs by lyricist David Zippel.LaChanze, Debbie Gravitte, and Jason Graae were also in the cast.
On April 8, Liz participated in NEW YORK IN SPRING, a reopening benefit concert for Symphony Space.
Liz joined her good friend Jason Graae for two concerts at the Hoytt Theater in San Rafael, California on April 20 and April 21, and many glowing reports have been seen regarding their performance.
Ms. Callaway performed at the Playwrights Horizons High Standards Annual Gala Benefit on April 22 at the Manhattan Center – Grand Ballroom.
